El-Wadad Society and Basma Company Organized asocial Media Challenge Entitled “Gaza Hearing in the Heartland”

In partnership with Al-Fares Club, El- Wedad Society culminates the female athletes participating in the initiative entitled “Girls’ Rights to Exercise”

As part of its ongoing support to the youth in the Gaza Strip, El-Wedad Society for Community Rehabilitation, in partnership with Al-Fares Sports Club, organized a coronation ceremony for the female athletes. This was within the activities of “Girls’ Rights to Exercise” initiative in the project of Providing a Safe Environment for Youth in The Gaza Strip, funded by UNDEF.

        The activity targeted a group of girls to encourage them to practice horse-riding. In the same context, El-Wedad Society signed a memorandum of understanding with Al-Fares Sports Club to carry out annual activities that help in encouraging Palestinian youth to exercise.

       At the end of the meeting, the society administration, represented by the Executive Director, Mr. Kamal Abu Amar, honored and crowned the female athletes who participated in the sports activity. In his turn, he encouraged youth, especially girls, to ride asserting the association’s role in supporting youth, this vital category in the Palestinian society, in all the fields that serve them.

      It is worth mentioning that El Wedad Society for Community Rehabilitation and through the Youth Club implements several initiatives for the advancement of the Palestinian youth in the Gaza Strip and the empowerment of their leading roles in society.

   

جمعية الوداد تنفذ مؤتمر المانحين بعنوان:” دور المؤسسات الدولية والمحلية في دعم أولويات وقضايا الشباب”

نفذت جمعية الوداد للتأهيل المجتمعي مؤتمر المانحين بعنوان: “دور المؤسسات الدولية والمحلية في دعم أولويات وقضايا الشباب”، في فندق المتحف وذلك ضمن مشروع توفير بيئة آمنة للشباب في قطاع غزة، بتمويل من صندوق الأمم المتحدة للديمقراطية ” UNDEF “، بمشاركة العديد من ممثلي المؤسسات الدولية والمجتمع المحلي وأعضاء المشروع.

الدكتور نعيم الغلبان “رئيس مجلس إدارة الجمعية” قال :” إن المشروع خاص بتفعيل دور الشباب في المجتمع والبحث عن الأسس والحاجات التي تحتاج إلى دخل”، مبينا أن الشباب الفلسطيني سيكونون أقرب لواقع أفضل.

وأضاف أن الشباب هم مفتاح المعادلة الحقيقية في التنمية وبدونهم لا يمكن للمسار الوطني أن يسير إلى التنمية والتغير الإيجابي.

بدوره تحدث الأستاذ حسام جودة “مدير برنامج التنمية بالإغاثة الإسلامية” أنه لا توجد مؤسسات كافية لدعم قضايا الشباب ،مضيفا أنه لا يوجد كم كافي من المؤسسات المجتمعية تقوم على تفعيل الشباب ومساعدتهم على القيام بدورهم ،وتابع قائلا:” نحلم بوجود شباب يستطيع أن يأخذ حقه في العمل”.

من جانبها، أكدت الأستاذة عبير جمعة مديرة مشروع الدعم النفسي في مؤسسة الميرسي كور بأن هناك عدد كبير من الخريجين، ووجود فئة من ذوي الإعاقة أيضا وهم بحاجة إلى اهتمام أكبر”،وأضافت جمعة أن ميرسي كور عملت على العديد من المشاريع السابقة وانتهت منها برنامج الشباب في الرياضة إضافة إلى برامج الدعم النفسي وبرنامج العمل الالكتروني من خلال شبكة.

اختتمت جمعة حديثها أن شبابنا يطمح أن يحصل على فرصة عمل بعد التخرج ولكن نسبة البطالة عالية والمؤهلات يجب أن تكون إلى جانب الشهادة الجامعية.

وفي ختام المؤتمر تم فتح باب النقاش بين الشباب والمانحين وتم الاستماع إلى أكبر عدد من الشباب وهموهم ووعدوا بحلول إيجابية للمشاكل المتعلقة بالشباب من خلال مشاريع مستقبلية تساعدهم في أداء دورهم في المجتمع. 

El-Wedad Society implements a conference entitled “The Role of International and Local Institutions in Supporting Youth Priorities and Issues

El- Wedad Society For Community Rehabilitation implemented a donor conference entitled “The Role of International and Local Institutions in Supporting Youth Priorities and Issues” at Almathaf Hotel. It was part of ” Providing a Safe Environment for Youth in the Gaza Strip” project funded by the United Nations Democracy Fund (UNDEF)  with the participation of several representatives of  International  institutions, community, and project members.

Dr. Naeem Al-Ghalban, ” the chairman of the association” said, “The project aims at activating the role of youth in the society and looking for the foundations and needs that require funds,”. Also, he indicated that by that the Palestinian youth will be closer to a better reality.

He added that the youth are the key to the development and without them the national path will not move towards development and positive change. In his turn, prof. HossamJouda, the director of the development program in the Islamic Relief, said that there are not enough institutions to support the youth issues. In addition, he asserted that there is not enough community institutions to activate the youth and help them to play their rolesand saying: “We wish that the youth will have the right to work.

     

El-Wedad Society launches the second Youth Pioneers Camp

         El-Wedad Society for Community Rehabilitation launched the second youth camp in the presence of the project’s members who are almost 300 young men and women from various areas of the Gaza Strip as part of the project entitled: “Providing a Safe Environment for Youth in the Gaza Strip”, funded by the United Nations Democracy Fund.

        It is scheduled that El-Wedad Association  will hold a conference on “The Role of International and local Institutions in Supporting Youth Priorities and Issues” at 11: 00 AM within the activities of the second youth camp

“El-Wedad Society for Community Rehabilitation organized the initiative “Promoting the right of persons with disabilities to participate in sports”

In collaboration with Deir Al Balah Association for  the handicapped Rehabilitation, El-Wedad Society organized an  initiative entitled “Promoting the Right of the handicapped to Participate in Sports”.

This is considered as a paradigm shift in the promotion of the handicapped rights in which a basketball match was held between two teams of them as a kind of motivation and a good start to activate such kind of activities. A memorandum of understanding was signed between El-Wedad and Deir Al Balah Association to support the participation of the handicapped in athletic activities, to build relations with the associations and institutions concerned about those people, and to empower them preserving the rights of this significant part of the society.

This initiative is part of ” Providing Youth with a Safe Environment in The Gaza Strip” program, funded by the United Nations Democracy Fund (UNDEF).

El-Wedad Society, in partnership with the Second Huda School, implements the initiative to encourage volunteerism

 

      El-Wedad Society for Community Rehabilitation, in partnership with Al Huda Secondary School for Girls in Al Sheikh Radwan Region, carried out an initiative for encouraging volunteering. It was part of the ” Providing a Safe Environment for Youth in the Gaza Strip” project, funded by the United Nations Democracy Fund.

The aim of this initiative is to instill the spirit of volunteering and the concepts of citizenship among the female students by planting part of the school and preserving the seedlings provided by the Ministry of Agriculture for the initiative. It is worth mentioning that El-Wedad Society, through the Youth Club organizes several initiatives in the Gaza Strip to raise awareness among the Palestinian community in the Gaza Strip.

El-Wedad and the Arab College are implementing an initiative entitled “Forming a Student Management Authority in the Arab College”

El-Wedad Society for Community Rehabilitation, in partnership with the Arab College for Applied Sciences, implemented an initiative entitled “Forming a Student  Administrative body at the Arab College of Applied Sciences. This activity came within “Providing a Safe Environment for Youth” program which is funded by the United Nations Democracy Fund.

An athletic activity which was a challenging match between El-Wedad Society and the Arab College was launched within the framework of the initiative activities. This activity was culminated by the victory of Al Wedad team over the Arab College team.

In a beautiful gesture, the members of El-Wedad Society team presented the Victory Cup for the Arab College appreciating its role in sponsoring the initiative and the cooperation between the university and the association. This activity aims at opening cultural and social and doors to form the administrative body  to carry out its tasks and .functions in the college
